Marisa von Sheere

Marisa Piñuelas is a Los Angeles–based hairstylist, groomer and London-trained wig artist whose career spans film, television, editorial, fashion and celebrity styling.

With more than two decades behind the chair and on set, Marisa has built a career around versatility, craftsmanship and an instinctive understanding of character. Her work ranges from creating and styling wigs for film and television to working personally with talent for press, premieres, photo shoots and public appearances.

Her foundation in hair began behind the chair, where she built and managed a loyal clientele before expanding into bridal, education and editorial work. As an educator for amika, she spent four years sharing her technical knowledge with other artists while continuing to work on photo shoots, commercials and runway shows, including New York Fashion Week.

Marisa eventually transitioned fully into film and television, where her ability to balance creativity with the precision and continuity required on set became central to her work. Her credits include major studio productions such as Top Gun: Maverick, The Shards, All's Fair and Lurker. along with an expanding body of film and television work encompassing contemporary styling, period work, grooming and wigs.

Her passion for wig artistry led her to further her training in London, developing the specialized skills that have become an important part of her creative identity. Whether creating an undetectable stunt double wig, refining a character's silhouette or developing a more conceptual editorial piece, Marisa approaches wigs with the same philosophy she brings to hair: the best work should serve the person, character and story before calling attention to itself.

Alongside her production work, Marisa works personally with actors and talent for press, red carpets, premieres, editorial shoots and other public appearances. Most recently, she has developed an ongoing working relationship with actor Igby Rigney, styling his hair for appearances and press.

Her work is grounded in technical experience but driven by curiosity. Marisa continues to study, experiment and push her craft forward—particularly within wig making, character work and editorial hair—while maintaining the understated, timeless approach that has defined her career.
